What to find here
Permanent exhibition with 9 panels with picture collages on the life and work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Created in 1987 by artist Matthias Frach.
Bonhoeffer’s study on the upper floor has been restored as far as possible to the original state in which he left it behind following his arrest in April 1943. This room contains his desk, his clavichord and his bookshelf with copies of books he owned and had read.
Guided tours–for individuals and groups
Individual visitors and groups are equally welcome. Please allow 60-90 minutes for a guided tour in English. More formats are available in German. Due to space restrictions, it is necessary to divide groups of 30 people or more. A visit to the nearby Gleis 17 memorial is recommended.
The services offered by the Bonhoeffer House are run on a voluntary basis and rely on donations. You can make your donation on site in cash, via PayPal or via the donation account. 5-10 € per person is recommended. Self-selected, higher amounts are always welcome.
Programs for schools and groups
Collaborative work with school classes, confessional and community groups is expressly welcomed and encouraged. The staff at Bonhoeffer House are excited to learn about your seminar and project ideas and are happy to create new programs or adapt the existing German ones with your help to suit your needs.
