Shaping the future together

The work at Bonhoeffer House thrives on dialog–with visitors, volunteers and people who are connected to us as partners.

We are part of a diverse network of local, national and international cooperation.

  • Protestant Church Berlin-Brandenburg Silesian Upper Lusatia (EKBO)
The association is an ecclesiastical part of the EKBO by virtue of its foundation and statutes. The building is owned by the regional church. The regional Bishop in the Berlin district is a member of the board by virtue of her/his office. The Bonhoeffer House is represented on the EKBO remembrance advisory board “Learning at church places of remembrance 1933-45.89”; the chairman of the association’s board is also part of the EKBO’s scientific advisory board.
  • Local protestant congregation “peace” at Berlin-Charlottenburg
The Bonhoeffer House is located in the area of the parish. Joint projects and events connect us locally.
  • International Bonhoeffer Society, German language section (ibs GLS)
As a member of the ibs, we are actively involved in the “Memorials” and “Schools” working groups.
  • Office for religion as school subject in western Berlin (ARU-West)
The Bonhoeffer House is an extracurricular place of learning for religious, historical and political education. Together we develop formats for and with school classes.
  • Ecumenical Working Group of Church Memorials (OEAGKGA)
This nationwide initiative brings together institutions working at the interface of church history and the culture of remembrance.

Further partnerships

The Bonhoeffer House maintains contacts and cooperations within its neighborhood as well with schools, universities, memorials, cultural institutions and initiatives of historical-political education.
